About

I am a film editor of thirty-five years’ experience, specialising in television documentary (see CV).

As well as working for television, I make non-broadcast short films. They aim to be more than conveyors of information, looking for the human qualities within every story. I am director, camera, sound and editor, with my wife Ali as producer. As Heyweather Films, our small team can work efficiently and unobtrusively in many situations, where a larger film crew would be invasive, and it keeps our costs to a minimum. We live near Stroud, in Gloucestershire.

The films shown here have been made in partnership with Barnwood Trust as part of a wider initiative to encourage and support inclusive community projects across Gloucestershire.

As well as making films I also write (see Writing).
